When it comes to selecting a new carpet for your home or project, it can sometimes feel like a complicated and overwhelming task. With a showroom offering hundreds of ranges from numerous different manufacturers you may require some guidance to select your perfect new carpet. Fear not as we are here to help guide you!

The Process

The process to getting your new carpet installed would generally work as follows;

Showroom Visit

To visit our showroom is always the recommended first step so you can see what we have to offer you. Even if you are only at the very early stages of selecting your carpet, it’s always good to see our selection and gain some inspiration. Feel free to bring along paint swatches or wallpaper samples to assist you with your selection. If you have a vague idea of how much carpet you require, we can calculate an approximate price for you whilst in the showroom.

Please note; samples direct from the showroom are subject to availability and may need to be ordered from the manufacturer.

Site Survey

Once you have made your carpet selection from our showroom, we will then be required to undertake a site survey to measure the areas in question. This service is free of charge* and does not obligate you to accept any quotation you receive. An appointment can be made either during your showroom visit, over the phone or by email.

It is important for us to survey the site as we establish more aspects of your job than just the measurements of your carpet requirement.

These can include;

• Ease of access for carpet delivery
• Nearby parking availability
• Subfloor material & condition of subfloor
• Check for underfloor heating (if applicable)
• Potential hazards (such as; water pipes, loose skirting boards)
• Best locations for carpet seams
• Door clearances
• Furniture

Your Quotation

Once we have surveyed your property and established how much carpet you require, we can then provide you with a quotation. Your quotation will illustrate your carpet selection along with the type of underlay we plan to use along with any further detail than may be applicable. The price you are given will be the price you pay, so there is no need to worry about sudden added charges**. Even if you aren’t in a position to replace your carpets just yet, your quotation will be stored on file until such times as you are***

Installation

Then comes the day of installation! Our fitting team are highly experienced and all members have been with us for a minimum of 20 years. They will ensure your carpet installation is as straight forward and frustration free as possible in order to minimise disruption for you. Depending on the size and complexity of your job, our fitters will always endeavour to complete in just one day. This way you won’t be left upside down overnight!

Aftersales

If you feel there is something concerning you regarding your carpet installation, then we are always here to assist after your purchase. It is not uncommon to require another visit to your home after a new carpet has been installed. This could be due to a carpet expanding once acclimatised to its environment or returning to site to finish some snagging. No matter what your concern is, there is no harm in getting in touch for peace of mind.

*Free of charge site surveys are within London and surrounding areas. In some cases, a charge may have to be applied due to distance from catchment area.
